About Vineyard Knitworks

Welcome to Vineyard Knitworks, celebrating our fourteenth year in Vineyard Haven, in the heart of the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard.  Every day we celebrate the natural beauty of our island, its people, agriculture, and surrounding waters. To that end, we support the revitalization of one of the Island's most historically important industries:  the local fibers and wool that come from our island shepherds and their great variety of sheep. We also love color, and our vision is carried out through our own dyed rovings and yarn and the amazing fibers that we source from independent dyers and small ecologically sensitive companies in the US, Peru and Europe.  

Mostly, though, we love the art, relaxation, and inspiration that knitting, crocheting and other needle-arts bring us and creating beautiful things for friends and family. Part of the real joy comes from sharing our knowledge and products with others. We invite anyone who loves beautiful yarns and creative ideas, to spend time with us either at our beautiful store on Martha's Vineyard, where we live, laugh (a lot), and work, or here at the website, where we are always available to help out in any way we can.
